Sing, smile and socialise
Sing, smile and socialise

We are a relatively newly-formed choir with 80 members, both ladies and gents, who meet each week to sing, smile and socialise.
Our choir is a fun activity - no need to read music or have any previous experience. We sing nice simple arrangements in three groups (Soprano, Alto and Baritone).
We do mainly popular music most people know (e.g. Beatles, 60s, 70s, 80s), some classic songs, and some carol singing at Christmas.

We are based in Thelwall, near Warrington, Cheshire.
We rehearse at the Holyrood Nursery building (formerly the Quays Community Centre), Thelwall New Road. WA4 2XT.
We meet every Thursday, 7.00 - 8.30 p.m
Why not join us? Don't be shy - everyone can sing (YES YOU CAN!)
Thelwall Community Choir rounded off their first year since formation with a Summer Concert at the Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen’s Club. The 60 strong choir sang a variety of songs ranging from classic pop to show songs, and finished with a rousing “Sweet Caroline” and “Hey Jude” to celebrate England’s World Cup run. The audience all commented on the enthusiasm and polished performance of this relatively new choir.
Also on the bill were the Lymm and Thelwall u3a Ukulele band who played and sang a set of songs that delighted the packed room, and the Men’s Sheds Wailers singers who entertained everyone with their rousing vocals and hilarious comedy. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and through the ticket sales and a huge raffle, an unbelievable £1434 was raised for the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Halton Appeal – a cause with close connections to several members of the choir.
The concert was completely sold out and the audience were sent home smiling and singing.
